That was a well-made point. Medal of Honour was actually the first definitive and realistic WW2 first-person, console-based shooter when it came out on the PS1. If anything Call of Duty was probably inspired or influenced by Medal of Honour. I think it's a good idea but it all depends on the storyline and gameplay of this modern Medal of Honour game.

The last great Medal of Honour title was Allied Assault/Frontline, the one that replicates the beginning scene of Saving Private ...

A lot of these pro-360 guys in here have been talking some serious bullsh*t. They think it is still all good simply because Microsoft are one of the world's richest companies and they can easily sustain these huge losses. They actually think it's ok for Microsoft to simply throw away tons of cash and pay for the huge warranty bill to pacify thousands of angry customers. What these fools don't realise is that you have shareholders in Microsoft who do not want to hear about huge losses on anyth...

I was just playing, but I still think multiple discs in this current gen is kinda silly. However it aint the end of the world.

For real Microsoft need to fix up with all this multiple discs nonesense. That was all good and cool back in the day with games like FFVII in the PS1-era but not now. No, there is no excuse for this on a current-gen console in the HD technology era we are in now. Not even the major last gen PS2 games had 2 discs. First Lost Odessey (4 discs was just takin the cake!) and now this? And apparently the next Forza game maybe be 3 discs. This is sheer embarrassment for Microsoft!

I kinda agree with you there on your points about the gaming industry in general, especially the point you made about games developers putting too much focus in the online features of games. I feel that this current trend of games devs feeling the need to include multi-player online may seriously hamper or hinder the development of good quality, solid, story-driven single player games like MGS4. I'm all for good online gaming titles but these devs need to realise the essential importance of p...

After doing some of my own intensive research with a conclusive view, I always kinda felt that the PS3 was gonna prove itself to be one stunning, powerful piece of video games/media hardware. I just felt that Sony were gonna really take their time and be careful to put alot of concentrated effort and hard work into creating state-of-the-art technology for their next-gen console, the PS3. Yeah sure enough there were not that many great games in the PS3's at launch and first six months, but I a...

It was one of the first games I bought for my PS3 and it made me more than satisfied I bought the console once I saw the jaw-dropping graphics. The gameplay was a nice mix of adventure, fast and furious action, running and gunning and solving puzzles. The storyline was very interesting and immersive, it just made you more eager to find out what happened next. If Naughty Dog do make an Unchartered 2, I hope this time they include some dangerous animals like crocodiles or something, that would ...

Listen up bro, if you consider yourself a black man then your dominant ancestry is obviously African. Are you really lacking that much intelligence and a brain? You don't make any sense because my understanding of history is that since the end of slavery in 1865, the majority of African-Americans(blacks) were born in America and not Africa, they just happen to be descendants of slaves from Africa. The "African" is to signify their racial/ethnic ancestry and "American" to s...

On a more serious note, as a black man I'm quite surprised to see some seemingly racist and prejudiced remarks coming out of some of the guys on here like rosebowl, Fallen Angel and some others. You guys done f**ked up with your negative comments man, not all black people complain about stuff like that. We have other issues and problems to concern ourselves with rather than sit there crying about how we are depicted in video games, believe it or not. I don't think Resident Evil 5 is racist - ...

I'm 28 years old and I have owned a PS1 and PS2. I was always a Nintendo guy having owned a SNES and N64 and even once owned a Sega Saturn. The thing is Sony just always seem to provide the right type and variety of exclusive games I have always enjoyed and loved playing, and they have done this successfully for the past decade. I dont hate the Microsoft and it's 360 console at all. I think the 360 is a nice games machine with some great games but it just does not have any significant features...

You said it bro. Just like he said Bladestar - if you love your 360 so much then go and play it rather than waste time on here bashing the PS3. If you dont like the PS3 then don't buy it - it's that simple.

Where I live in the UK (London), most people I know that are thinking of buying a new console want a PS3, especially to play MGS4. There are many guys here who would want a PS3 and MGS4, trust me there are but in most cases what holds them back is the price. Even though it may be affordable for many, it is still very common practice for gamers in the UK to wait for a few price cuts before buying a new console and the PS3 has only had just one since it's European/UK launch and it's now costs &...

This mentality of games developers making an online mode essential for new games is getting very silly now. I too much prefer story-driven single-player games. I personally find them more fun, interesting, immersive and much more challenging. It's like every new game made these days HAS to have an online mode! That's pure nonesense man. I'm not too heavily into online gaming and while I do think it's a very important feature for a game to have, (I love COd4 online) it does not have to be essen...

RROD, no standard HHD, no Hi-Def format or Blu-Ray, no Wi-Fi, and now making a habit of having games on multiple discs! First Lost Odessey and now this? LOL 360 is slippin' out here, Microsoft fix up for real.

Especially if 2 discs are needed for a racer! Maybe back in the days of the PS1 this multiple disc thing would have been acceptable (eg.FF VII and MGS 1). In fact, back then it was actually seen a cool feature - now that kind of thing is just played out and outdated. Not even last-gen consoles had 2 disc games - I dont remember any of the best and major PS2 titles having 2 or more discs required to fully play them. If this rumor about Forza 3 is true, then the 360 is really slippin' BIG time....

First Lost Odessey with 4 discs and now this? The 360 simply never fails to amuse me. Seriously if this is true, this is just pathetic for a current-gen console like the 360 to still be having to go through the embarassment of requiring two discs for just one game that's not even some mega-epic kind of RPG, it's a damn racer! Come on Microsoft, in this day and age having a single game on multiple discs is prehistoric - that goes back to PS1-era days! I don't even remember any major PS2 title ...

I totally agree with everything you have said. I still do think GTA 4 is a great game and I thought the storyline very interesting, I follwed it closely. The storyline is what made me wanna finish the game. I'm just quite angry that many of the things you have already stated were missing from the game. However it has it's great moments (that HEAT-style bank robbery mission was explosive stuff!) and I'd still recommend GTA 4 to any GTA fan out there, or anyone who is building up a collection o...

Yeah people keep bashing the PS3 about how it over-hyped itself as true next-gen before it's release, it's promised huge things and all that. But the fact remains that the current best-looking games are ONLY on the PS3. Unchartered, GT 5 Prologue and Metal Gear Solid 4 just simply look incredible and have the best graphics of ANY current-gen game on ANY current-gen console out now. Even the better version of this year'd commercially biggest game so far GTA 4 is on the PS3. People need to stop...

The graphics and intense detail of the NYC-style environment of Liberty City was simply top-class. But the gameplay suffered from a little repetitiveness and linearity in some parts. The main problem with GTA 4 is that Rockstar left out the best features from the older GTA titles like Vice City and San Andreas, rather than add them to the brand-new features in the game. GTA 4 should have been the game it is with everything else taken from the previous GTA games added to it and maybe more, but...
