I was just playing, but I still think multiple discs in this current gen is kinda silly. However it aint the end of the world.
For real Microsoft need to fix up with all this multiple discs nonesense. That was all good and cool back in the day with games like FFVII in the PS1-era but not now. No, there is no excuse for this on a current-gen console in the HD technology era we are in now. Not even the major last gen PS2 games had 2 discs. I'm 28 years old and I have owned a PS1 and PS2. Especially if 2 discs are needed for a racer! Maybe back in the days of the PS1 this multiple disc thing would have been acceptable (eg.FF VII and MGS 1). In fact, back then it was actually seen a cool feature - now that kind of thing is just played out and outdated. I totally agree with everything you have said. I still do think GTA 4 is a great game and I thought the storyline very interesting, I follwed it closely. The graphics and intense detail of the NYC-style environment of Liberty City was simply top-class. But the gameplay suffered from a little repetitiveness and linearity in some parts. That was a well-made point. Medal of Honour was actually the first definitive and realistic WW2 first-person, console-based shooter when it came out on the PS1.
